Jean BrittinghamJean Brittingham is the CEO of Brittingham Partners, LLC. where she focuses on Innovation, Collaboration and Capacity Building and helping leading organizations assure and integrate a sustainable future—for their businesses and the planet.

Jean is the Strategic Advisor in North America for the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership. She provides strategic and network leadership for CPSL’s corporate partnerships and critical guidance on programs and initiatives in the United States.

With over 25 years of experience in business, government and communities across the globe, Jean is comfortable in diverse cultures and difficult situations and has worked extensively with policy and management teams in government and industry to create breakthroughs in core strategies based on dialogue and collaboration to assure successful and integrate a sustainable future—for their businesses and the planet.

Jean’s prior experience includes key operating and strategy roles in start-ups and established businesses. As Chief Operating Officer of EcoMedia, Jean was responsible for the scaling and development of EcoMedia’s environmental support platforms. Jean engaged a broad cross-section of federal environmental agencies, advocacy organizations, corporate and municipal partners to form the EcoZone Advisory Board focused on leveraging the resources of these diverse organizations to maximize environmental benefit of EcoZone Advisory Board focused on leveraging the resources of these diverse organizations to maximize environmental benefit of EcoZone funds.

Jean was a Vice President at CH2M HILL where she was selected for key leadership roles over the course of her ten years with the company, including leading sustainable technology and business development for the eastern US region, and serving as project manager for major capital improvement and redesign programs in Japan, Puerto Rico, Idaho and multiple local governments in the United States. Jean left CH2M Hill in 2006 as the Technology Director for the Civil Infrastructure Program Management Team where she lead her team in the creation of web-based tools for Program Management Best Practices and the inclusion of sustainability into balanced score card prioritizations.

Jean’s previous experience also includes public-sector service to two Governors of Oregon and the creation of regional non-profits.

Jean has undergraduate degrees in science and business and an MBA from George Fox University. She has presented extensively on a variety of issues ranging from corporate sustainability and organizational capacity building, collaboration and innovation, sustainable solutions in communities, scenario planning, programmatic approaches to complex project delivery and the role of women in bringing about a sustainable planet.

Jean was born and raised in Oregon where her love of the outdoors and sense of responsibility was nurtured. She lives with her husband in Seattle, Washington.
